Hooray! :D
congratulations, joel!
you'll have some loyal fans there to cheer you on :)
although, i don't know, is it the cheering kind of thing?
Please feel free to cheer. Always.
I'm still so excited with the excitedness about this news. Gushy about your abilities is how I feel. Did I marry a great guy, or what? And because of our chosen matrimonial bonds I get to go to Comic-Con and see three football fields worth of crazycomicsmania. Whoo hoo!
the LW - You'll get to see us embarrass Joel with our cheers and catcalls!
Congratulations, Joel! That's fantastic. This justifies more IronHide Tom stories...which will lead to IronHide Tom The Movie and that will lead to sweet, sweet merchandising.
Kudos, Mr Priddy, for both your well-deserved nomination and the notion of sweet, sweet IronHide Tom merchandising. Have you considered Legos? IHT would totally dominate the likes of Spongebob Squarepants and Batman.
Perhaps a post-Eisner cage match could be worked out with IronHide Tom and the Bat, with the proceeds going to a worthy charity (Victims of the God of Scissors, perhaps), of course...?
Thanks, everybody! Any suggestions on IHT merch? I mean, other than the cod-chunklet Happy Meal. That's just obvious.
Perhaps a little corny, but Ironhide Tom bandannas and eyepathches? Maybe?
Derrick- come on D, you're thinking small, what about Iron Hide Tom's....Iron hides! Like those big foam hulk fists you can buy, but...hide.
Oh, and Congrats Joel! I have the coolest teacher in the world!
Wait.. Is Rowdy Rodney Piper still teaching the piano?
Eh...It's a long shot, you are the coolest.
Thanks, Derrick and Cody.
Cody, I think you're on to something with the promotional iron-hides, but I'm thinking more along the lines of the Civil War-era armored gun boats. I'm not sure how many I can whip up between now and SDCC, and I can't decide if they should have working cannons or period-accurate engine-works (authenticity is always nice, but, then, the originals were a fire hazard). But it does seem like the logical bit of IHT memorabilia.
