Bat Flu

I'm a little late jumping on the Batgirl meme that spread itself all over the internet this weekend. Still, here's my Pulp Adventure Batgirl.

I drew this while eating key lime pie for breakfast with my sweetie.

Update, 1/21/06: Almost a week later, and we're still getting hits from the Batgirl list. I can't believe anybody has the patience to scroll down that far! Anyway, I just wanted to invite those who are linking directly to this post to take a look around the rest of the blog. After all, this Batgirl meme has to end sooner or later, and then... the Whaling meme will take over! Avast!

I haven't seen Jerry's. Could you drop us the link?

Actually, I started out intending to draw Batgirl in a business suit, but it sorta turned into a cross-sex version of my own outfit: tweed jacket, sweater, and a scarf. And, of course, the utility belt.

Does this make me an artistic transvestite, or a just plain ol' narcissist?

When I saw it, I started to wonder the same thing. Is it Batjoel, or Joelgirl?

I may not know much, but I do know this: everyone should wear more tweed.

Hey there! I've been clicking through all of the batgirls to find the ones i really liked and am totally stoked on yours!

We're doing a big open-invite group anthology over at Young American Comics: The Bunny, Insect, Zombie, Monkey, Alien, Robot Experiment. This is our 5th annual anthology (which we'll be publishing as a Trade Paperback) and we're trying to get as many cool independent artists to participate as possible. Sorry for the crossposting, but we'd love to have you involved if you're interested! Come by YAC and check us out. Thanks. Tod

It's funny, I just heard about BIZMAR for the first time from Jim, who commented above. I was considering whether or not to use it as an assignment in my comics class.

That's what we call synergy!
